Gait

March 18, 2016 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Title:  Gait
Presented by Prof. Vineet Johnson
Abstract:  Gait, a term used to define and describe walking, is a fundamental requirement for locomotion.  This lecture will explore the fundamentals of gait, factors that control gait, including the role of the brain, spinal cord and various peripheral afferents in healthy and pathological conditions.

Once again it is open to everyone, including high school students, with the goal of making neuroscience widely accessible to all.

After the presentation, we will have a ceremony recognizing joint winners of the NeuRIG logo contest and the volunteers who helped out in the NeuRIG R&I exhibit last week.  We will also be showing photos taken at the R&I event – it was a resounding success.

Please direct inquiries to Dr. Josephine Tan, jtan@lakeheadu.ca.
