The Neuroscience of Zombies

October 27, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

NeuRIG (Neuroscience Research Interest Group) at Lakehead University will be hosting a fun Halloween-themed presentation and discussion, The Neuroscience of Zombies. This is a great way to get introduced to the anatomy and functions of the brain – no prior neuroscience experience required!

DATE: Friday, October 27th

TIME: 4:30-5:30pm

LOCATION: ATAC 1006

Open admission! Everyone is welcome to attend.

What goes wrong inside of the zombie brain? Could a zombie apocalypse really happen? Join us to find out! We will discuss the anatomy of the brain, pointing out the areas that are responsible for the classic aspects of ‘zombie behavior’. We will also consider brain disorders and diseases and the possibility that these could contribute to the development of a zombie epidemic.

This event is part of the NeuRIG Lecture Series and is open to everyone, including high school students and community members, with the goal of making neuroscience widely accessible to all.

This is a great opportunity to find out more about NeuRIG and its activities. NeuRIG welcomes new members at any time.

Inquiries can be directed to NeuRIG at neurig.biology@lakeheadu.ca.
