The Prospect of Artificial General Intelligence

February 9, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Could computers ever think in the same way that humans do? Is the brain essentially just a computer? Could a machine feel emotions and experience consciousness?

Questions like this will be addressed by Dr. Richard Maundrell, Chair and Associate Professor with the Philosophy department at Lakehead University. NeuRIG is proud to host Dr. Maundrell for a discussion of the philosophy of artificial intelligence.
